Great British Bake Off is set to return on Channel 4 for its sixteenth series and the broadcaster has announced the names of those competing to win the beloved baking competition
Great British Bake Off’s 2025 cast and contestants have been announced.
The sixteenth series of the beloved baking competition is set to return this year and a new trailer has confirmed the return of fan favourite hosts Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding, alongside judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.
Channel 4 has yet to release an official start date but the show usually airs in mid to late September, often on a Tuesday evening.
This year’s contestants will be competing head-to-head for the coveted GBBO cake stand and a bouquet of flowers – there is no cash prize for winning Great British Bake Off.
Among those competing is 38-year-old senior systems architect Aaron, who enjoys experimenting with “Caribbean flair, Asian flavours and making his own liqueurs”. 30-year-old scientist Hassan has a “love for sweet treats inspired by his Pakistani heritage,” 29-year-old software engineer Iain has a hobby of “immortalising album cover art on the crusts of his loaves” and 23-year-old medical student Jasmine uses baking as a “creative outlet”.
Joining them in the Bake Off tent will be 32-year-old service designer Jessika, who dabbles with unusual flavour combinations, 59-year-old software delivery manager Leighton, who blends Welsh, British and American flavours, and fellow 59-year-old Lesley, a hairdresser who “finds comfort and creativity” in her craft.
Nataliia, 32, is an office assistant who was taught to bake by her grandmother and uses recipes passed down through generations of her family, while Nadia, 41, experiments with “Indian and Italian flavours with a Scouse spirit”.
Bridal designer Pui Man, 51, is a “perfectionist with attention to detail,” business development executive Toby, 29, “takes a stripped-back, healthy approach to baking” and 31-year-old creative entrepreneur Tom “brings a flair to his beautifully presented bakes”.
