Former Love Island star Tommy Fury has opened up about co-parenting with Molly-Mae Hague in recent months, in the second episode of his BBC Three reality TV show
Former Love Island star Tommy Fury has revealed that he and Molly-Mae Hague have different parenting styles. He has claimed that their daughter Bambi is more likely to get away with things when she’s with him, but Molly-Mae is stricter.
In the second episode of his BBC Three reality show Tommy: The Good. The Bad. The Fury, which premiered earlier tonight, Tommy discussed co-parenting with Molly-Mae after their split. The episode was filmed towards the end of last year, before the couple reconciled.
Tommy, 26, admitted that co-parenting had been “tricky” since Molly-Mae, also 26, moved out of their shared home with two year old Bambi.
He jokingly suggested that Molly-Mae was the stricter parent, while he was more lenient.
During scenes of Bambi staying with Tommy, he said: “Obviously it’s tricky because Molly’s at her house and I’m here at the minute. When Bambi’s here, it’s all me, and when she’s there, it’s all her, so it is tricky.”
Tommy added: “I’m wrapped around her little finger ten times so I’ll literally do anything for her. But at least with Molly she knows she can’t get away with it But with me, she definitely can. She can get away with murder.”
This comes after Molly-Mae opened up about her parenting struggles in recent months, revealing that Bambi is currently “testing boundaries”.
In an emotional vlog last month, she was seen in tears, telling fans: “I feel like I need to keep my camera running all day so you guys like actually just see … it’s like every single thing is a huge problem. Like [Bambi] screams and can’t even get like socks and shoes on.”
Molly-Mae also addressed criticism that she’s “out of touch,” after discussing her parenting struggles in the same vlog. She said: “I don’t care who tells me I’m out of touch with reality or like all this stuff that’s going on on TikTok at the minute. […] I don’t care like I’m not gonna not talk about it.”
On his show, Tommy expressed his hope of living with Molly-Mae and Bambi again in the future.
He said: “You just dream of one day, y’know, them coming back and the house to be filled with joy again. Y’know, I hope that one day everything can sort itself out and we can live here as a family again.”
In the first episode, Tommy discussed their decision to move out and once again denied speculation that infidelity led to their split. Instead, he blamed his drinking habits while unable to train due to a hand injury.
He said: “The reason for our end in the relationship was alcohol.”
Tommy also revealed that Molly-Mae’s decision to leave him came as a shock. He admitted to being “drunk” when his fiancée and Bambi left their home, stating: “So I don’t actually remember it that well, which was even more upsetting.”
