The perma-tanned partygoer posted a photo to Instagram — where he has 188,000 followers — seemingly posing with the caged animal in Phuket, Thailand, but was met with a backlash
Ibiza Final Boss Jack Kay has sparked fury by posing with a cheetah that appears to be heavily sedated. The perma-tanned partygoer, 26, posted a photo to Instagram — where he has 188,000 followers — posing with the caged animal in Phuket, Thailand.
But the snap angered some followers who raised concerns the cat may have been drugged to pose for photos with tourists. One fumed: “Not the flex you think this is at all. Don’t support places like this.”
Another urged Jack — who became an internet sensation due to his iconic haircut, shades and facial — to “Stay away from the cruel drugging of animals.”
In the now-deleted photo, Newcastle lad Jack is seen with his distinctive barnet, black vest and sunglasses as he sits next to the sleepy-looking cheetah inside a caged enclosure. Wearing black shorts and sliders, he grins for the camera and appears to be stroking its head.
A follower wrote: “Hope that ain’t a drugged up cat you’re sitting with.” Another added: “This showed what kind of person you really are. This is not cool.” One threatened to unfollow Jack “because of supporting animal abuse”.
The picture was taken at Tiger Kingdom in Phuket, where one tourist was recently mauled by a tiger as he tried to take a selfie with the cat. Animal welfare groups have raised concerns about the treatment of animals at venues offering photos with captive cats. Jack has since deleted the photo following the backlash.
Tattooed beefcake Jack became a viral phenomenon when Zero Six West Ibiza posted footage on TikTok of him dancing at a club in a chain and black tank top holding a drink. It was viewed by millions and sparked hundreds of memes and jokes.
It led internet wags to him the “Ibiza Final Boss”, a reference to the last and typically most difficult enemy to face in a video game. A hardcore fan has had a tattoo of his face on their leg as “boss fever” swept across the UK.
Jack used his newfound stardom to launch nightclub tours on the White Island and has even been seen filming a brief clip with adult performer Bonnie Blue.
He signed with a management team after taking the internet by storm and making a splash with pool parties at luxury villas.
But he also came under fire for a party at a €9million villa in Ibiza last weekend when it emerged one of the dwarves who was at Lamine Yamal’s controversial 18th birthday party in attendance and was branded “mini boss” by Jack.
