Questions have emerged over Katie Price’s finances after a video was released showing her counting wads of cash and discussing properties and her bankruptcy with daughter Princess
Alex Reid leaks video of Katie Price counting cash while bankrupt – explained
A video has emerged showing Katie Price counting stacks of cash in the middle of one of her bankruptcies. The former glamour model, who was declared bankrupt for a second time in 2024, can be seen discussing her financial state and a property referred to as “my London flat”. Now, ex-husband Alex Reid, who is spoken about in the one minute, 38 second clip, has vowed to “expose the truth”.
The video sees Katie sitting with her daughter Princess Andre handling piles of money. She says she is “enjoying counting” the cash, adding she is “just sorting it out”.
Believed to have been filmed in 2020, when Princess would have been around 13, the video shows the teen asking if Katie would be contributing towards her school fees.
Katie, who shares Princess with ex-husband Peter Andre, says: “Your dad can sit on that,” while raising a middle finger to the camera.
She then asks her daughter if Peter “goes on about it a lot”. Katie adds: “Well it’s tough because I’m in bankruptcy to next May now.”
Katie mentions “my London flat”, which, her representative claims, was “dealt with in the financial settlement proceedings” from her divorce from Peter.
The video has been sent to Katie’s bankruptcy trustee who continues to “seek realisations from various third parties”.
Katie was first made bankrupt in 2019 with debts of £3.5million. A second bankruptcy followed in 2024 over an unpaid HMRC bill of £7651,994. She has since been discharged from them, something she has labelled a “great achievement”.
However Alex, who Katie owes £175,000 in High Court damages after she allegedly shared a sex tape of him filmed without his consent, has said “the time has finally come to reveal all”.
In the video, Katie directly mentions him, telling Princess: “Alex Reid wants money from me and he won’t be able to get it… he’s an a*** hole.”
Alex said: “Over the years you have seen countless stories by Katie Price directed at me, Peter, Kieran [Hayler] and others. Today I want to be clear. I am spear-heading a campaign to expose the truth. This isn’t about gossip but about evidence. It’s not about rumour, it’s about reality. After years of silence, the time has finally come to reveal all.”
The former Celebrity Big Brother winner brands the footage “unbelievable” before asking if his legal team has seen it.
A representative for Katie told The Mirror: “This is a video that was shared with Katie’s Trustee in Bankruptcy several months ago and Katie has fully complied with the Trustee’s investigations into the same.
“The cash featured did not belong to Katie and the property referred to was dealt with in the financial settlement proceedings arising out of Katie’s divorce from Peter Andre. Katie’s Trustee in Bankruptcy is aware of the property and has undoubtedly investigated whether the same ought to be comprised in the bankruptcy estate.”
Katie’s bankruptcy trustee Farheen Qureshi told the publication: “You should be aware that, notwithstanding that Ms Price has been discharged from both her first and second bankruptcies, both bankruptcies are still live and continuing and, in my capacity as her trustee, I am seeking realisations from various third parties for the respective bankruptcy estates.
“I would not wish to prejudice in any way either the outcome of that hearing or the further investigations being undertaken.”
Alex’s video follows another of Katie’s ex-husbands, Peter, speaking out in a very rare statement about her “repeated lies”.
