Emmerdale’s Eden Taylor-Draper who plays Belle Dingle has left fans confused after she revealed her real voice

Emmerdale fans have been left gobsmacked after hearing Eden Taylor-Draper’s real accent for the first time.

The actor shot to fame playing Belle Dingle on the ITV soap making her debut in 2005 when she was just eight years old. Since then, Belle has become a firm favourite with fans.

She’s also played a part in several big storylines – from killing her best pal to a shock affair with the village doctor, Belle’s time in the Dales has not been short of drama.

Especially last year, as Belle was the victim of domestic abuse at the hands of her sicko husband Tom King (James Chase). Tom made her life a living nightmare for over a year. by gaslighting and abusing her.

Fortunately, Belle’s ordeal came to an end when Tom was found guilty of assault and controlling and coercive behaviour and he got a three years custodial sentence.

And it’s fair to say Eden’s portrayal of Belle has gone down well with viewers, as over the years, she’s been awarded several awards, including the Best Dramatic Performance from a Young Actor or Actress Award and the Best Young Performance award at the British Soap Awards.

Away from the soap though, fans have recently been left open-mouthed after hearing actor Eden’s real voice for the first time.

Recently, Eden set up a TikTok account dedicated to her love of reading and books. And in a video shared on Tuesday (August 19) the TV star gave fans a rundown of what she has read recently while on holiday.

However, it was Eden’s real accent that got plenty of people talking. One person wrote: “It’s so strange hearing characters in real life in their real life accents. It’s confusing me. Bell is posh!”

Another added: “That’s so weird! I had no idea she didn’t sound like she does in Emmerdale!” A third then chimed in: “I know I recognised the face but my brain wouldn’t put 2+2 together because of the accent.”

Echoing their thoughts, someone else declared; “Wait is this her actual voice? I thought she was joking. Omg.”
