Peter Andre became a hero when he rescued his son Theo from a toilet cubicle.
The Mysterious Girl singer, 52, shares eight-year-old son Theo with wife Emily as well as daughters Amelia and Arabella. He also has son Junior and daughter Princess with his ex-wife Katie Price – the pair are currently feuding.
Peter was forced into action when Theo got trapped inside a public toilet during their holiday in Cyprus. The family were visiting Camel Park in Mazotos, when things took a scary turn for the youngster.
Dad Peter climbed onto the side of the toilet and managed to squeeze himself through an open rear window. In a clip posted on Instagram, Pete outlined the holiday mishap before climbing through the window, while wearing flip-flops.
He said in the video: “Right guys we have a bit of a situation here because these are the toilets. This is the door, its completely locked from the inside and the outside and someone can’t get out.”
He panned the camera to Theo, whose face was blurred, who could be seen inside the toilet, wearing a T-shirt and shorts. He said: “It’s boiling in here!”
Luckily, Pete managed to get inside the toilet facility and rescue Theo by passing him through the gap. He told the onlookers: “Ladies and gentlemen there’s always ways to get out of these situations, be careful.”
However, he got into a spot of bother himself as he struggled to get up and out of the window from the other side. One of his kids shouted: “You’re embarrassing us dad!”.
The Aussie singer wasn’t trapped for too long and managed to get himself out. He clearly saw the funny side of it, captioning the footage: “Saved the day and I’m still embarrassing.”
Fans rushed to applaud him, with one commenting: “In all seriousness, well done superhero dad [clapping emoji].” Another wrote: “Good on you Pete.”
It comes as Peter issued a scathing statement about ex-wife Katie on Instagram, where he claimed she had told “repeated lies” about his children’s “welfare and living arrangements”.
Part of his statement read: “”In 2011 and 2015, publicly documented court cases, found my ex-wife had made false claims. She was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise, to me and my management. The same falsehoods are being repeated today.
“Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations I have yet to address. Those will now be dealt with in the coming months.”
Katie’s representatives have responded. They said in a statement: “Kate is in a much better and clear headspace and is at peace with the situation, this was in the past and she doesn’t feel the need to bring up tit for tat comments, but more importantly she’s dealing with this the right way and it’s now in her lawyers hands. Kate will no longer be gaslight and bullied as she once was..”
