Emmerdale is set for some explosive scenes on the hit ITV soap
Emmerdale fans will be left gripped this Christmas with a series of explosive storylines.
On Wednesday’s This Morning, soap expert, Sharon Marshall, was quick to share the latest news and spoilers, as well as some explosive first look teasers.
In one festive spoiler, Sharon, 54, revealed that Emmerdale icon, Kim Tate, will be left “fighting for her life”.
The soaps writer and expert said: “Sam and Lydia central to Christmas, Sam makes a terrible decision he regrets for a very long time it’s all to do with money.
“Poor Kim Tate, action packed Christmas, she’ll be fighting for her life. I know, don’t worry, she’s come back from the dead twice, she’ll be alright! An action packed Christmas coming up for her…”
Meanwhile, in another first look teaser of upcoming episodes, it sees April Windsor admit to murder.
Fans will recall that April and her boyfriend Dylan Penders have recently been manipulated by Ray Walters and his mother Celia Daniels under the pretence of repaying their so-called “debts”, a scheme designed to groom them into drug dealing.
The plot took a darker turn when Celia coerced April into attending two prostitution jobs, where she refused to sleep with client Callum.
However, when Callum wouldn’t accept her refusal, he lunged at her, causing a terrified April to grab a bottle of vodka and strike him across the head.
Since then, April has been tormented by the belief that she killed Callum, which has only pushed her deeper into the clutches of Celia and Ray as they cleaned up the aftermath.
However, the teenager doesn’t realise that Callum is both alive and well with Ray and Celia using his ‘death’ as more control over April.
In the first look clip, April appears to tell her dad Marlon Dingle and Rhona Goskirk about what has been going on, saying they can’t go to the police.
As the duo attempt to leave to get to the police station, warning they need to stop Ray and Celia, April confesses: “We can’t go to the police because I killed a man, I’m a murderer” leaving her father and stepmother in utter shock.
Can they save April or will they be hurt in the process?
Emmerdale continues on weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV and ITV X.
