Rylan Clark has been dating his new boyfriend Kennedy Bates for several months, and the couple were inseparable as they showed off their romance at Radio 2 In The Park
Rylan Clark and his new beau Kennedy Bates made a public display of their flourishing romance at Radio 2 In The Park. The pair were seen mingling with mates in the VIP section at the Chelmsford event on Saturday.
The former X Factor contestant, 36, who has presented on BBC Radio since 2018, enjoyed automatic access to the star-studded bash. Meanwhile, 47 year old Kennedy beamed as he accompanied the broadcasting personality as his guest.
The duo appeared in high spirits as they settled at a picnic table with pals, engaging in animated conversation and laughter whilst looking completely at ease in one another’s presence under the sunny skies, reports the Mirror.
An onlooker revealed that the chat between the couple – whose relationship was confirmed last month – was playfully flirtatious throughout their day out. Those witnessing the pair couldn’t help but notice the undeniable spark between the television presenter and the fairground operator.

A witness told The Sun: “Rylan and his new man looked seriously in love, they were having a great time together in the VIP.”
“They were laughing and joking, and there was lots of PDA. At one point, Rylan playfully smacked Kennedy on the bum when he headed off while his boyfriend stood in the queue for food. Kennedy was also chatting to Rylan’s mum, Linda; he’s clearly been accepted by the family.”
The insider continued, noting that Rylan brought vibrant energy to the venue and “looked happy to have his new man by his side.”
Supporters will be thrilled to learn that Rylan is basking in his fresh romance – following the heartbreaking end of his marriage to Dan Neal which left him shattered in 2021.
The presenter’s budding relationship came to light last month, with insider reports revealing the couple had been quietly courting throughout the summer months. A source previously disclosed to The Sun on Sunday: “This new man has certainly put a smile back on Rylan’s face and they have been enjoying spending lots of time together.
“Rylan’s family and friends have all met him, and they’ve been attending lots of gigs together this summer, including Oasis.”
The television favourite found himself playfully cornered into spilling his joyful news during his radio programme whilst discussing his podcast, How to Be in Love, which recently featured Louis Theroux. After broadcasting a segment where Louis shared how he encountered his wife, Rylan’s co-presenter Lottie mischievously enquired whether there was “something else” worth mentioning.
This cheeky probe led the entertainment star to admit he’d been romantically involved with someone. Initially, Rylan appeared bashful about disclosing his relationship status, remarking: “I might have said that I’m… it feels weird saying it on the radio!”.
Lottie then revealed that both she and the production crew had been introduced to Rylan’s new partner, describing him as “lovely.”
Rylan even disclosed that he had broached the subject of starting a family with Kennedy. He revealed: “At this time I’m very happy. Recently I have gotten into a relationship and it’s great. And it feels very different to anything I’ve had before, which is a good sign to me.”
He confirmed that Kennedy was the first bloke he had brought home to meet his family since his split from Dan. Documentary filmmaker Louis pressed Rylan about the budding romance, questioning whether they had contemplated having children together.
“Is that something you’ve been thinking about?” Louis enquired. Rylan openly responded: “Yeah I want kids. He wants kids.”
