MissusKent UK, who appears to now be the poster girl for the far right, has opened up about how she got her political views from that always-factual source known as TikTok
The woman dubbed “Poundshop Lily Allen” after a viral performance at Tommy Robinson’s rally has admitted her opinions come from TikTok. MissusKent UK – or Jodie, to her mates – was one of the post-rally entertainers last weekend.
Her full performance, which we’ve had the pleasure of analysing here, saw her take to the stage sporting a dress bearing the St George’s Cross, while going on a musical rant about the state of the government’s immigration policy.
She also went on to call out Keir Starmer directly, accusing him of heinous crimes no media outlet in their right mind would publish, while also calling for an end to the war in Gaza.
And while digging into just who she is, the Daily Star found an interview she gave to Alistair McConnachie a few weeks before the rally.
For the unaware, McConnachie is a former UKIP activist who was expelled from the party by then-leader Nigel Farage for Holocaust denial.
McConnachie, who now runs the Force For Good organisation, was banned from UKIP in 2001 after he wrote in an email: “I don’t accept that gas chambers were used to execute Jews for the simple fact there is no direct physical evidence to show that such gas chambers ever existed.”
He repeated the claims in 2023, and claimed accounts from eyewitnesses were “revealed as false of exaggerated” – which is not true.
The US Holocaust Memorial Museum defines Holocaust denial as “any attempt to negate the established facts of the Nazi genocide of European Jews”.
Regardless, MissusKent was seemingly happy to be interviewed by him, and divulged exactly where her opinions on the UK came from.
In the chat where she also admitted to being an “antivaxxer,” she said: “It was all through TikTok . . . I’ve seen loads of videos and it really opened my eyes. I really woke up during 2020 and the pandemic.
“My eyes just opened, and I came up with all these videos and they just blew my mind. I knew it was going to be a negative thing for Labour to come in.”
She later said, after being asked to expand on what “shifter your consciousness” during the 2020 period: “I was a care worker . . . again, TikTok, I was on there and there were a lot of ‘truth speakers’ who had given me this perspective I had never seen before.
“They were talking about things I had never heard of and I had my mind blown – my mind is very open.”
She also goes on to state that while she knows “loads” of people who regret having the Covid vaccines, she doesn’t know anyone who regrets “not having it”.
There’s probably a good, rather obvious reason for that . . .
At no point during the interview does MissusKent or her Holocaust-denying host discuss fact checking anything she watched on TikTok.
