What is George Clarke best known for?
George, better known as George Clarkey, is a British YouTuber, podcaster and social media sensation beloved by millions online.
He started dabbling with video content during his teenage years, before rapidly realising how humour and authenticity could forge connections with audiences worldwide.
From those humble beginnings, he’s carved out a flourishing career boasting millions of followers spanning YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, with fans captivated by his genuine nature and razor-sharp wit.

George Clarke’s family life
George is in a relationship with lingerie model Yasmin Amelia, with the couple making their romance official shortly before his Strictly announcement.
Prior to his Strictly debut, a heart-wrenching video emerged where George revealed a devastating period when his mum nearly lost her life after battling a frightening brain condition. The content creator had previously shared how his mother was diagnosed with encephalitis, a brain inflammation.
“There is a side to me I don’t think I have ever shown you. A more serious side was back in 2015, my family thought we’d have to live without my mum,” he revealed.
George continued: “I’d always known that she is amazing, but the fact that she overcame a 20% chance of survival in intensive care.
“She has permanently lost her long-term memories, she’s lost her taste and her smell. She has no sense of direction anymore, and to come out of all of that and apologise to us for what she has put us through is really a testament to how lucky we are that she’s still here. I am lucky enough to hear that God-awful cackle.”
