Kelvin Fletcher and his wife Liz have four children together
Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher and his wife, Liz, appeared on a repeat episode of Alan Titchmarsh’s Love Your Weekend on Sunday.
The duo, who shared four children together, opened up about the highs and lows of farming and how it has been a “big change” for the family.
Liz also made a cheeky baby admission during the chat after host Alan made a joke about Kelvin’s hips while dancing on strictly-come-dancing>Strictly Come Dancing.
After showing a clip of Kelvin on Strictly, Alan asked Liz, “What was your reaction when you saw that performance, as it were, with it being quite sensuous?”
“I was not ready to see that, I was like, the hips don’t lie,” Liz laughed. “He told me he couldn’t dance, and the whole family, everyone was in shock, we couldn’t believe what we witnessed.
“We still watch it back now,” Liz continued as Alan chipped in, “You must be very proud of him, he’s a good mover.”
“That’s why we’ve got four kids, Alan,” Liz joked as Alan added, “Let’s move swiftly on.”
Elsewhere in the chat, Alan asked Liz and Kelvin about their children and how it affects them working on the farm.
Liz explained, “So we’ve got Marnie, who’s seven now, Milo four, and the twins are one, so they’re walking, talking.
“The farm is just becoming chaos. We always said we’d have this clean, you know, calm farm, and it’s the absolute opposite. The kids are everywhere, the animals are everywhere.”
The couple went on to share how their eldest daughter loves farming, and she is a “helping hand” to them on the farm.
Liz went on, “She’s really taken to it and is showing so much potential to be an amazing shepherdess. But the twins, on the other hand, are just like the most dangerous.
“They’re picking things up that are dangerous. They’re licking everything; they can’t be around. They have got to be strapped in the pram.”
After showing a clip of their daughter, Marnie, chatting about farming, Liz admitted it was a “big change” for her.
“Sometimes she tells us what we’re doing, and she’s so strong, and we’re so proud of her, because this was a big change for her from just moving to a big farm,” the mum of four shared.
“It’s a lot to take in as a child, and she’s really taken on those responsibilities and wants to be stuck in there with us.”
Kelvin chimed in, “I can’t help but feel an immense sense of pride because the life that she’s currently living, and it’s a real representation of life, you know, to understand the animals, and you kind of rear those animals, and it’s just great.”
