Domino’s is celebrating 40 years in the UK with a limited-edition merch collection inspired by its original delivery uniforms – and it’s available to the public
Domino’s is celebrating its 40th anniversary in the UK with a throwback to the 80s, launching a limited-edition merchandise collection inspired by its original delivery uniforms.
The pizza giant has teamed up with UK vintage lifestyle brand Unified Goods to create the Hot Since ’85 nostalgic capsule collection, featuring a mix of rare and recreated items from 1985.
The retro range includes a bomber jacket, a bespoke screen-printed T-shirt emblazoned with Hot Since ’85, and accessories like car bumper stickers, caps, and socks, all sporting the slogan ‘one call does it all’.
Pizza lovers can add these unique pieces to their wardrobe as the limited-edition collection is available to the public from today.
The collection also features in Domino’s new throwback film, which takes inspiration from 80s video games and cult classic films, sure to evoke nostalgia for anyone who’s ordered a hot pizza from the company over the past four decades.
Melanie Howe, the brand’s chief nostalgia officer, said: “This year is a significant milestone for us, marking 40 years since Domino’s powered up its first oven in the UK in 1985.
“So, it felt right to honour being ‘hot since ’85’ with a piping hot drop that’s bold, fun, and perfectly us.”
The range, based on the original 1980s uniforms, revisits the brand’s style, where polo shirts were adorned with light blue around the shoulders and neck, a slim white stripe across the chest, and the rest of the shirt in vibrant red.
Domino’s made its British debut in 1985, launching its inaugural outlet in Luton, before celebrating its 100th branch a decade later in 1995.
The pizza empire was originally established 25 years earlier in Michigan by brothers Tom and James Monaghan, who initially christened their venture “DomiNicks” before rebranding to Domino’s in 1965.
By pioneering home delivery services, the firm revolutionised how people ordered pizza and swiftly built a stellar reputation for flavour, quality, swift service and reliability.
Now, it has expanded into a worldwide giant boasting more than 1,300 outlets throughout the UK and Ireland.
All products will remain available on unifiedgoods.com until Thursday 9th October.
