Coronation Street fans have predicted the return of a legendary character and
Coronation Street could be set to welcome back a soap legend and Tyrone Dobbs is in for a shock.
Tyrone (Alan Halsall) has been a staple on the ITV soap since his debut way back in 1998. Introduced as a cheeky delinquent, Tyrone was soon taken in by legends Jack and Vera Duckworth (Bill Tarmey and Liz Dawn).
Since then, Tyrone has played a part in several big storylines. From his many failed romances to being the victim of domestic abuse, his time in Weatherfield has not been short of drama.
Especially at the moment, as last week Tyrone was left fighting for his life after being struck down in a shock hit-and-run. Rushed to hospital, things took a dramatic turn for Tyrone.
Doctors ended up confirming that Tyrone had a blood clot pressing against his spine and had two fractured vertebrae. What’s more, Tyrone was unable to feel his legs, sparking immediate concern from his loved ones.
This week, Tyrone had to have surgery and despite it being a success, he was warned that it could be years before he regains full feeling in his legs again.
But now, with more drama set to come, fans can’t help but think the soap could be bringing back a former legend, Tyrone’s adoptive mum Jackie Dobbs (Margi Clarke).
Jackie made her first appearance as Tyrone’s wayward mum in March 1998. Jackie caused plenty of drama during her stint before leaving Weatherfield in 1999.
Then in 2008, Corrie reintroduced Jackie and she appeared on and off until 2010. Fast forward to July 2018 though, and Tyrone was told by the police that Jackie had died.
However, according to fans, they reckon Jack isn’t actually dead and could be heading back soon, following Tyrone’s dramatic new storyline. On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one person wrote: “Anyone remember Jackie Dobbs? I know she’s dead but they should bring her back.”
Another chimed in: “She died off-screen didn’t she? Could be possible.” A third also penned: “That would be a good return especially with everything that Tyrone is going though.” Someone else said: “I’ve always thought we haven’t seen the last of her since she died off-screen.”
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX
