Emmerdale fans have shared their concern for Jimmy King after the character has been absent from screens in recent weeks
It’s been a busy week on Emmerdale as Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) and Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) tied the knot, though the nuptials were far from straightforward.
Vinny was late to the wedding on Tuesday (September 16), having taken a detour to the police station to report Mike (Macaulay Cooper), the man who assaulted him and stole £10,000 after Vinny confided in him about his struggles with his sexuality.
After presenting his soon-to-be wife with a necklace of her late father, Ashley (John Middleton), Vinny and Gabby eventually made their way down the aisle.
The couple exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends, including Vinny’s mum, Mandy (Lisa Riley), and his best man Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah), reports Belfast Live.

Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) was among the guests, as were Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) and her fiancé Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant).
On Gabby’s side, her mum Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles), grandad Rodney (Patrick Mower), and aunt Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) filled the pews.
Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) and her son, Arthur (Alfie Clarke), also looked on affectionately, alongside Kim Tate (Claire King) and Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw).
However, eagle-eyed fans quickly spotted that several family members were conspicuously absent from the festivities.
In the episode, it was revealed that Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) was having stomach troubles after having a curry the night before, but there was no explanation given for the absence of Nicola’s husband, Jimmy (Nick Miles).
Fans have taken to social media to voice their concerns over the noticeable absence of Jimmy from Emmerdale.
One viewer queried on X (formerly Twitter): “Where the hell has Jimmy gone?”
Another chimed in: “Where was Jimmy, his kids, Marlon, his kids, Sam and Lydia, and Thomas for the wedding? #Emmerdale Gabby should be drinking from the welly.”
A third echoed the sentiment, asking: “Where has Jimmy been for a while?” while another similarly wondered: “Where’s Jimmy these days?”
“Why couldn’t Nicola, Jimmy or Rodney walk Gabby down the aisle?” questioned a fifth viewer, with another adding: “What’s going on with Nicola and Bob, and where’s Jimmy?”
Jimmy was last seen on screen earlier this year as he attempted to defuse a heated argument between his wife Nicola and newcomer Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches) over the café’s ownership.
However, fans need not worry as Jimmy is due to make a comeback soon. Nicola Wheeler, who portrays Nicola, hinted at upcoming drama for the couple during an interview with Inside Soap.
“There is going to be trouble coming up, caused by one of their children. That’s a little teaser for you!” she recently revealed.
