NBC forced to cut cameras as couple spotted in ‘sex act’ during baseball game

NBC was forced to cut the cameras during the game between The Athletics and Texas Rangers after a couple were spotted in a saucy sex act in the stands

NBC viewers received an unexpected eyeful when they settled in to watch Saturday’s baseball match. The broadcaster was covering the clash between The Athletics and Texas Rangers when bosses were forced to swiftly cut away after inadvertently capturing a steamy moment between two spectators in the crowd.

To the amusement of the MLB (Major League Baseball) commentators, a bloke wearing a baseball cap with sunglasses resting on top decided to get rather hands-on with his partner’s chest – all whilst being beamed live to millions of homes.

“For the folks at home, I will apologise,” the main commentator declared before breaking into laughter and telling his co-host that the chap was “a handful my friend.”

The broadcasting duo then fell silent for half a minute after it became clear they’d been chuckling uncontrollably. Delivering another cheeky quip as the programme headed to an advert break, the commentator joked: “A’s down by a few. Trying to grab a couple back..”

Supporters were equally tickled by the incident following the match, which saw the Rangers triumph 9-3, and flocked to social media to share their thoughts. One viewer posted: “This is the best I love it! Now that’s what I call a date night!”

Another remarked: “The ‘handful’ line was great… but the subtle double down of ‘grab a couple back’ on the outro was absolutely legendary!'”.

Meanwhile, a third observer noted: “Never a dull moment during an A’s broadcast.”

This follows the kiss-cam controversy during Coldplay’s gig – featuring the Astronomer CEO and his head of HR – which became the butt of jokes at another baseball match in the US last month.

Video footage surfaced from the kiss cam at the Phillies game on America’s east coast, with the stadium playing a Coldplay track in the background as the camera on the big screen swept across couples in the stands at Citizens Bank park.

The cheerful couples on screen shared a peck, whilst one bloke took the mickey out of the scandal by brandishing a sign that read: “This is my wife”, in a clear reference to the Astronomer saga, before planting a kiss on his other half.

Meanwhile, Philadelphia’s mascot the Phillie Phanatic recreated the situation with another green mascot, which hid their face whilst Phillie sought refuge.
