Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged. The superstar singer and NFL player shared some romantic proposal photos on their Instagram accounts – and fans reckon they’re full of clues or so-called Easter eggs.
In the photos, the couple can be seen surrounded by stunning floral arrangements in a dreamy woodland setting. After a string of failed romances, Taylor has finally found her love story with her sportsman husband-to-be.
They wrote in the caption: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” with a dynamite emoji.
Even there, fans believe the emoji, which may seem quite random at first look, has a deeper meaning.
On X, formerly Twitter, someone pointed out dynamite might also be known as TNT. Someone else explained that TNT could stand for “Taylor n Travis”.
Travis’ dad Ed Kelce revealed that his son actually proposed to Taylor a few weeks ago, also on a Tuesday.
They then kept it quiet and revealed their exciting news to fans on Tuesday, August 26.
Go with us here, but it turns out there might be a lot of significance around that date.
Taylor, 35, appeared on the New Heights podcast on August 13, which was released 13 days before the engagement photos.
As it turns out, 13 is her favourite number, and she’s a big believer of numerology.
She said during the podcast chat: “I love numerology. I love math stuff, I love dates. That stuff I find really fun.”
Travis, also 35, added his own number logic into the conversation, saying: “I’m 87,” referring to his NFL jersey number, “and she’s 13. And… 100.”
Taylor explained: “13 plus 87 equals 100. That’s numerology.”
It doesn’t end there, though, as August 26 is a big date for Taylor.
Back in 2019 on that date she performed on television for the first time after her Lover album was released. It marked her grand return to the spotlight after four years.
On top of that, fans pointed out that track 26 on her album The Tortured Poets Department is The Prophecy.
The lyrics speak of Taylor’s hope that she will one day find someone special in her life, with emotional fans saying: “The prophecy changed.”
That’s not the only lyrical clue fans have picked up on, though, after realising where the photos were taken.
Taylor sings of secret gardens in a handful of songs including Betty, I Hate It Here and The Great War.
Fans thought the setting of the photos was perfect, with one saying: “That is really the secret garden in her mind from Here On Out.”
Then when we get to the ring, fans noticed there seems to be a small T on the side of it. Many speculate there might be a matching T on the other side to represent the couple’s names.
Meanwhile, others suggested the shape of the rock looks quite similar to Taylor’s logo on her website.
Then, others reckon Taylor knew the proposal was coming as her nails are manicured and painted a soft pink, which a lot of people say is one of the best colours to show off a ring.
Of course, that would mean it wasn’t such a romantic surprise if true.
In reality, it’s more likely Taylor had her nails done anyway because, well, she’s a ridiculously popular celebrity who is always being photographed.
