Newcastle United have just one week left to wrap up their summer transfer dealings.

Eddie Howe’s squad has already splashed out over £125million on five players, yet a centre forward remains elusive. The Magpies are expected to focus their efforts on securing a striker in the final week of the window, with Brentford’s Yoane Wissa high on their wish list.

Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolves and Atletico Madrid’s Alexander Sorloth have also been linked with a move to St James’ Park. Meanwhile, the future of Alexander Isak at Newcastle is still up in the air.

The 25-year-old is insistent that he’s played his last game for the club and is keen to secure a lucrative move to Liverpool.

The player’s preference is still Juventus, where he netted 10 goals in 22 appearances last season, but Newcastle are keeping a close eye on the situation.
