A small-town politician in Russia blew up the internet when he made a revealing admission while dismissing criticism regarding work carried out by the department he leads
A Russian politician turned himself into a meme when he made a surprising admission when confronted with criticism over public maintenance work overseen by his department.
Vladislav Ternovykh, the Deputy General Director of Oryolvodkanal, a water and energy utilities company in the eastern Russian city of Oryol, made the the dismissive remark over delays in repairing a collapsed sewer system on Poleskaya Street, in the city centre.
According to a post by Baza, on social media platform Telegram, the works had been ongoing for four days without any success – much to the frustration of the city’s residents, who had taken to social media to complain about them.
In a video clip shared to Baza’s 1.5 million-odd subscribers, the business exec revealed just how little he cared about the growing tide of discontent among locals by revealing the only thing he’s bothered about on the internet is adult sites.
When asked about the works’ completion date and criticism on social media, Ternovykh dismissed the complaints, saying: “I’m not interested in anything on the internet except porn.”
This comes as many miserable Westerners have taken the bold choice to apply to relocate to Russia, claiming the UK is now just too woke.
Russia’s interior ministry has claimed that 2,275 Westerners – chiefly Brits and Americans – have applied for a new shared values visa, which was launched last August.
British national Philip Port from Burnley, Lancashire said he would rather live under Mad Vlad’s dictatorship. He said: “I love Russia. There’s no crime, the streets are clean, it’s well-developed.
“I’m all for gay rights, don’t get me wrong, but I think when they’re teaching them to children in school – I’ve got a seven-year-old son, I don’t want him being influenced in that way.”
Philip Hutchinson, whose company Moscow Connect helps Westerners apply for the pathway, says he receives between 50 and 80 inquiries a week from the UK.
He added: “There’s a huge amount of people that are frustrated by the way the country’s got in. Taxes keep going up and up and up. And we’re giving all this money to Ukraine.”
