I’m A Celebrity fans have highlighted what they see as an obstacle facing Aitch’s blossoming jungle romance.
The Manchester rapper, 25, recently confessed to having a “soft spot” for fellow campmate and former EastEnders actress Shona McGarty, 34.
He candidly revealed his feelings to close pal Angry Ginge during Friday night’s episode. Although Shona is currently single following the recent end of her engagement, I’m A Celeb watchers have identified a glaring issue.
They reckon the nine-year age difference between the pair could create complications. Alarm bells rang when fellow campmate and late arrival Vogue Williams mistakenly suggested they were of “the same age”.
One viewer took to X, previously Twitter, writing: “Did I hear Vogue say that Shona and Aitch are the same age? ? ? ? ? Shona is 34 and Aitch is 25.”
Another remarked: “Vogue saying Aitch is the same age as Shona… she’s 34 he’s 25. Not quite.”, reports the Express.
A third questioned: “Did Vogue say Aitch and Shona are the same age? Only 10 years apart like.” Someone else posted: “Aitch and Shona are not the same age though.”
The exchange occurred during Friday’s programme when Ginge and Aitch decided to take a plunge at the creek – providing them with an opportunity to discuss their fellow contestants privately.
Aitch confided in Ginge about something that had been on his mind, admitting: “I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for Shona, me.”
Ginge replied: “I think she’s really nice, if that’s what you mean yeah..” Aitch confirmed: “Yeah that’s what I mean.” Ginge agreed with a nod: “Yeah she is.”
Earlier in the show, fresh arrivals Vogue and Tom had been speculating about the potential romance. Vogue remarked: “Her and Aitch are single now.” Tom gushed: “They would make a gorgeous pair.”
Vogue noted: “They’re the same age,” while Tom added: “They both have those bright, bright blue eyes.” Vogue giggled as she continued: “And they both love music.”
However, despite Aitch revealing his secret crush on the EastEnders actress, reports suggest the award-winning rapper is actually seeing someone in private that few are aware of.
According to The Sun, the pair have been an item since early this year and have even enjoyed a romantic getaway together.
In May, an insider revealed: “Aitch has been dating Lois for a couple of months, but they’ve recently been getting more serious. He took her away on a trip to New York – just the two of them. They’ve also introduced each other to family and friends.”
She’s reportedly keen on designer fashion and enjoys looking chic, though Aitch has never shared photos of her on social media as they prefer to keep their romance private.
The source claims her Instagram account is also set to private and she’s deleted her profile photo, “although you can see he follows her”.
