Body language expert says Prince Harry plays ‘subservient role’ alongside Meghan

Prince Harry is taking a more ‘deferential’ role beside Meghan Markle, a body language expert has claimed after the couple were spotted in Hollywood

A body language expert claims that Prince Harry has been whittled down to a “subservient, bodyguard-like role” to Meghan after she appears to makes an effort to “revive” her acting career.

Recent photos of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday bash – hosted at Jeff Bezos’s Beverly Hills mansion – show the royal ‘being treated like one of his wife’s staff members’, body reader Judi James has alleged.

While at the glitzy event, which boasted a glamorous A list that included Oprah, Beyonce and Adele, the Prince of Sussex appeared “serious and focused” in terms of his posture and expression, while trying to protect his wife from media attention.

Judi James described their body language as “more old-school A list, with a rather serious and focused-looking Harry towing Meghan along like her personal bodyguard,” in a story first published at RadarOnline.com.

She added: “In star terms, this reflects her return to the big screen as an actress, while he seems to be back in ‘Spare’ mode here.

“Harry’s expressionless mode directs the attention to his wife here, although his ritual is one favoured by the likes of Travis Kelce, with the outstretched arm held behind and away from his torso to suggest muscle power, and with his hand gripped around Meghan’s in a similar ‘Big Paw’ Travis grasp that speaks of a desire to protect as they go past the press.”

It comes as royal sources suggest that Harry’s friends are worried about the Duke of Sussex, because they think he’s adopting a more “deferential” role next to his wife.

According to one source, Prince Harry has gone from being the spare to now “treated like his wife’s shield in public.”

The insider added: “Every move he makes seems to revolve around protecting Meghan, and it shrieks of him being subservient to her as she chases her dreams of being an A-lister. It’s as though he’s taken on the job of her bodyguard rather than husband.”

One person who attended the birthday party said Harry “seemed to be scanning the crowd” constantly, while Meghan seemed to be having fun.

It comes just days after the Duchess of Sussex has marked a return to Hollywood with a cameo as herself in in ‘Close Personal Friends’, acting alongside Lily Collins and Brie Larson.
