Strictly Come Dancing returned to screens on Saturday night for the second live show
Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood predicted the 2025 winner as he issued a warning to a star.
The beloved BBC dance show made its return on Saturday evening (October 4) with the second live show, as presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman welcomed the famous faces back to the legendary ballroom.
Judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Motsi Mabuse, and Craig were poised to assess the routines before Sunday’s first elimination.
During the show, ex-Emmerdale star Lewis Cope and his professional dance partner Katya Jones delivered a Viennese Waltz to “Lose Control” by Teddy Swims.
The duo secured sevens from Anton, Motsi, and Craig, whilst Shirley handed out a six, bringing their combined score to 27 points. The panel called for greater “refinement”, with Shirley commenting that she felt the routine was “too aggressive”, reports Wales Online.

“I get your power, I love everything about it. I think you’re destined for greatness in this competition. But this, for me, being surrounded by it for years, I don’t see the crash bang wallop that everybody else sees,” she added.
Further into the programme, YouTuber George Clarke and his professional dance partner Alexis Warr showcased a Paso Doble to “Game of Survival” by Ruelle.
The pair bagged two sevens from Craig and Motsi alongside two eights from Shirley and Anton – securing an outstanding total of 30 points.
Craig offered his feedback to George following the routine, whilst simultaneously delivering a caution to bookmakers’ favourite Lewis. “I thought you could have hyperextended some of the lines, just accentuating the Spanish line. It didn’t go far enough for me,” he said.
“But I have to agree with everyone – power, passion, and Lewis better watch his back, darling. Just saying.”
Shirley added, “I think you did absolutely outstandingly well. I think what I appreciate is the fact that you’re in control of every movement that you do.
“You were breathing. You didn’t need all those facial expressions. You were breathing beautifully. Everything had an intention; we knew exactly where you were going, and that captivates me.”
She continued, “Your narrative was good between the two of you. I love that small breathing that was going on. That was outstanding.”
When the scores were tallied up at the close of the evening, George and Alexis found themselves sitting in third spot on the scoreboard with 54 points combined.
Lewis and Katya claimed second position with 55 points, trailing just behind Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin, who topped the table with 56 points.
This weekend marks the comeback of the feared dance-off, complete with a fresh twist. This series, the head judge position will rotate weekly, with a different panellist delivering the decisive verdict should the dance-off result in a deadlock.
