The couple, called Katie and James, have ruffled feathers in the narrowboat community as a result of their sex for sale adverts which turn our canals into a red light district
A couple who advertise sex for sale on their narrowboat have been accused of turning British canals into a red light district.
The pair, who advertise on the escort website Adultwork, call themselves the Boatcouple and offer sex for sale at £280 per hour or £500 for two hours on their narrow boat. The couple called Katie and James, who are both bisexual, are currently based on a canal near the village of Thrupp in Oxfordshire.
In the explicit advert, Katie writes: “I am 5ft 7in. I am petite size 8 and have a 32c bust. I enjoy being watched and told what to do.”
Her partner James adds: “I am 5ft 7in. Dark brown haired, olive skinned, brown eyed and slim, athletic build. I am fully bi and like being submissive with men.”
The ad also states: “We live on a narrowboat which has a decent-sized bed, shower, wood burner and radiators. We are a genuine British couple, bisexual, open minded and intelligent couple and we like doing almost anything.”
The couple’s page on the website revealed that after a booking has been made, James will meet punters in a car park near where their boat is moored.
After money has been exchanged, James will discuss what sort of experience the punter wants and then will walk him to the boat to meet Katie.
One punter who had paid for the couple’s services wrote: “Their narrow boat home is certainly unique, perfectly clean, and very welcoming.
“I was offered a shower both before and after our time together, and there was no clock watching. James & Katie seemed to enjoy our time together too.
“Whenever I’m back, I will definitely be contacting James and Katie for another visit.”
The couple’s page on the website also contains 15 videos of the pair having sex which viewers can pay to view.
Under British law, prostitution is not illegal and the couple are entitled to sell themselves for sex.
But one narrowboat owner told us: “This shouldn’t be allowed. I have had a narrowboat here for ages and my family uses it every weekend.
“We know who these people are and we see people going into their narrowboat all the time. They have effectively turned the area into a red light district.
“There are also school children who live on boats in the area and if I was a parent of a live-on-board boat in this area or any other I would be concerned.”
