Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell was left comforting her co-star Stefan Dennis after the pair failed to impress the judges with their Cha Cha Cha
Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell remarked, “It’s so sad,” whilst attempting to console her dance partner on Saturday evening.
Dianne, who is partnered with Neighbours actor Stefan Dennis, delivered the Cha Cha Cha, though they struggled to impress the judges, leaving the duo devastated.
After their routine, despite Dianne’s efforts to stay upbeat, Stefan was visibly disheartened.
Opening the critique, Motsi Mabuse commented, “You have a brilliant partnership, and you have a brilliant energy. You guys are like sunshine when you pair up together.
“I am gonna have to address the elephant in the room. There were lots of tiny, tiny mistakes everywhere. Let’s try next time to rehearse and stick to the routine,” reports Wales Online.
“We have to get one performance without those tiny, tiny creepers in there, and you guys are brilliant together.”
Shirley Ballas continued by noting that the pair “started well” but then “nerves” overwhelmed Stefan.
She elaborated, “Sometimes that happens to the best of anybody. They get nervous, then they start making mistakes. Brush it aside. You move on.”
The soap actor admitted he was “petrified” during the entire routine. Craig Revel Horwood described the performance as “stiff”. He remarked, “You’re picking your feet up way too much, which makes it look stompy.
“Your timing got out on several occasions, unfortunately. But you know, what I thought was good about it was that it was full of content, proper, proper content.”
Before the scores were revealed, Claudia Winkleman observed, “And he [Stefan] has been getting frustrated with himself.”
Dianne responded, ‘He has; it was really sad this week. He said to me, “Di, I don’t often feel old, but I feel very old in this competition’. He is the oldest guy in this competition, and you would never know.
“He works incredibly hard, and I want to let you know that you are doing a fabulous job.”
Strictly Come Dancing returns on Sunday on BBC One.
