Oasis could be heading back on tour in 2026 after Liam Gallagher told fans at Wembley “see you next year” – sparking frenzy over a possible Knebworth return
Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher appeared to confirm the band will be hitting the road again next year.
The shock tease came at Wembley Stadium on Thursday night, where the band wrapped up their highly-anticipated reunion shows. Before belting out Champagne Supernova to a packed crowd, Liam turned to the audience and declared he will see them next year.
Liam said: “I wanna thank you lot for keeping the faith and putting this band back on the f****** map. Champagne Supernova. See you next year!”
The cryptic message sent fans into meltdown, sparking deafening cheers across the stadium and setting social media ablaze with speculation that the Gallagher brothers are ready to take Oasis global again.
According to reports, major offers are already on the table, including four huge shows at Knebworth House to mark the 30th anniversary of their legendary 1996 gigs. Those concerts, which saw more than 250,000 people flock to Hertfordshire, have gone down in rock ’n’ roll history – and insiders believe a return could be even bigger this time around.
A source said: “The demand is off the scale. There’s serious talk of not just a tour, but a run of record-breaking shows. Promoters know Oasis can shift tickets like no other band, and the money on offer is staggering.”
Other possibilities include a Manchester Etihad Stadium residency, plus headline slots at massive festivals like Coachella in the US and Spain’s Benicàssim. Some fans are even hoping the lads might return to Glastonbury, where their absence has been felt for decades.
The news comes after months of denials from both Liam and Noel, who previously brushed off rumours of extending their comeback into 2026. But with the band’s reunion shows selling out in minutes and proving they can still unite generations of music lovers, the brothers could be tempted to keep the momentum rolling.
One fan tweeted after the Wembley gig: “Liam saying ‘see you next year’ – that’s it, Oasis are back for real. Biggest tour ever incoming.” Another wrote: “If they do Knebworth again, I’m selling my car for tickets. No way I’m missing this.”
If the rumours are true, the tour could smash records and eclipse even Robbie Williams’ three-night stint at Knebworth. For now, Oasis are keeping fans guessing – but with Liam’s not-so-subtle promise ringing in fans’ ears, it looks like the story isn’t over just yet.
