Strictly Come Dancing’s Amber Davies has been announced as the newest addition to the BBC show as she’s set to compete alongside Nikita Kuzmin
West End sensation Amber Davies is set to strut her stuff on the dance floor in this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing, as announced on Friday afternoon.
The 28-year-old will be twirling around the dance floor with Nikita Kuzmin, who was initially paired with Dani Dyer before she had to bow out of the BBC show.
Amber will make her Strictly debut on Saturday night in the first live show of the series, competing against the likes of Vicky Pattison, Thomas Skinner and Alex Kingston.
Ahead of her big debut, the TV star shared a message with her followers after the announcement. In an Instagram story, fans got their first glimpse of Amber and Nikita together.
In front of a large mirror, Nikita stood behind Amber, arm resting on her shoulder, sporting a broad grin, reports Wales Online.

She captioned the story: “Rehearsals in full swing @Nikita_Kuzmin. Thanks for all the love, I’m still in shock [laughing crying face].”
Amber shot to fame when she appeared on Love Island in 2017, eventually winning the ITV show alongside Kem Cetinay.
But the Welsh star is also a celebrated theatre actress, having starred in Pretty Woman, 9 to 5: The Musical, and The Great Gatsby.
On joining the BBC show, she said: “This has been the craziest 24 hours of my life. I’ve watched Strictly with my family since I was younger and to now be part of the show is a dream come true.
“I’m going to give it my all and I am sending Dani well wishes for a speedy recovery. I hope I do her proud.”
Dani was forced to pull out of the show earlier this week after suffering an injury during practice sessions last Friday. The 29-year-old has revealed she’s fractured her ankle, making it impossible for her to carry on in the contest.
In her announcement, she explained: “I thought I had rolled my foot but it swelled up badly over the weekend and after an MRI scan yesterday, it turns out I have fractured my ankle.
“Apparently doing the quickstep on a fracture is not advisable (! !) and the doctors have said I am not allowed to dance so l’ve had to pull out of the show.
“To say I’m heartbroken is the biggest understatement. I am so going to miss dancing with Nikita, but will of course be watching closely and cheering all the couples on.”
Strictly Come Dancing continues tomorrow at 6.55pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
