Actress Patsy Kensit says she’s drawing from her own famous breakups – including her marriage to Oasis bad boy Liam – to help Brits wipe away their exes for good
Patsy Kensit has admitted she knows a thing or two about heartbreak – and she’s now helping the nation scrub away their romantic pasts.
The 57-year-old actress has teamed up with Samsung to launch a cheeky new ‘Ex Eraser’ service, encouraging Brits to finally wipe away the ghosts of their exes and move on with confidence.
And Patsy is the perfect agony aunt for the role as the star famously tied the knot with Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher in 1997, with the pair sharing son Lennon before their whirlwind marriage crumbled just three years later.
Their turbulent romance was the stuff of 90s headlines and filled with glitz, drama, and rock ’n’ roll chaos. Patsy has since admitted the heartbreak left its scars, and she’s determined to turn that experience into something positive for others.
Speaking about the campaign, Patsy said: “I’ve been through my fair share of heartbreaks, so I know how crucial it is to move forward without the weight of the past holding you back. Sometimes, the bravest act is simply hitting erase and choosing yourself.”
New research backs her up, with 48% of Brits admitting they’ve deleted photos of exes or edited their social feeds to wipe away bad memories. In fact, a staggering 1.6 billion snaps of former flames are expected to vanish from phones and galleries in 2025 alone.
The Samsung study also revealed the quirky rituals we all fall back on after a breakup – from tearing up old pictures (17%) to binning clothes (16%) or even trying to crop out an unwanted ex (13%).
For Patsy, fronting the ‘Ex Eraser’ is a way to show that breakups don’t have to leave you haunted. Whether it’s chucking out an old hoodie or using Galaxy AI’s Generative Edit to magically vanish an ex from a photo, she insists the important thing is taking control of your memories.
Samsung’s new Galaxy S25 FE is packed with cutting-edge features at a more attainable price. A true AI companion that adapts to you, it offers an AI-powered camera and creative tools like Generative Edit and Audio Eraser1 to perfect the memories you capture every day.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is available to pre-order now in Navy, Icyblue, Jetblack and White colours starting from £649. For more information about the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE, please visit: www.samsung.com/uk
