The UK has seen several months of hot conditions which has brought an incredible four heatwaves to parts of the country as well as health warnings with the temperatures dangerously hot.
Sun worshippers can look forward to more sizzling weather in September, as weather maps turn a fiery red with temperatures predicted to reach 30C.
The UK has been basking in several months of hot weather, which has brought an impressive four heatwaves to parts of the country, along with health warnings due to the dangerously high temperatures. Currently, we’re experiencing a dip from the scorching 30Cs, with low pressure systems ushering in unsettled conditions and some much-needed rain for our gardens.
However, looking further ahead into September, weather maps suggest that the balmy conditions aren’t finished for this year, with a warm-up expected after the first week of the month.

A high-pressure system over the Continent is set to push temperatures up to 30C in eastern England on September 8, while it will be noticeably cooler on the western coast and in Scotland, where temperatures might drop to the low teens.
The highest temperatures could extend as far north as Hull, and across into the northwest of England, where it could also reach the mid-20Cs. However, in most of Wales and southwest England, it’s unlikely to climb higher than 20C, reports the Mirror.
The following day, September 9, tells a similar tale, with the highest temperatures of 30C likely to be confined to a narrower area in the east, but generally, it will be warmer, especially in Scotland.
The Met Office forecast for September 3-12 indicates generally unsettled conditions, though drier periods may see temperatures climb above seasonal averages.
“Changeable and unsettled weather conditions are expected across the UK during this period with low pressure systems tending to dominate the overall pattern,” the national weather service predicts.
“This will mean showers or longer spells of rain will affect the much of the UK at times. Some heavy rain or showers are expected in places, most often in the west. Thunderstorms and hail are also possible, as are some spells of strong winds if any deep areas of low pressure form in the vicinity of the UK.
“Some short-lived spells of drier and more settled weather are also possible at times, especially later in the period when they may last a little longer. Temperatures will likely be close to average or slightly below overall, but may rise above at times in any drier, sunnier spells.”
