Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left confused as the latest elimination from the hit BBC show leaked online, with one even questioning if there was a ‘mistake’
Viewers were left baffled after the latest Strictly Come Dancing elimination result leaked online.
Hours before Sunday’s results programme was scheduled to broadcast, fans learned which pair faced the dance-off and which unfortunate duo received their marching orders from the judging panel.
As supporters are now accustomed to, the outcomes are recorded on Saturday following the live performance show, whilst the results aren’t transmitted until Sunday evening.
Despite years of criticism regarding this practice, spoilers have persisted weekly before the official broadcast. This week proved no exception, sparking mixed responses about the apparent elimination.
We’ve chosen not to name the celebrity who has reportedly departed the show alongside their professional partner. Audiences remained split, with some having anticipated the outcome whilst others were caught off guard.
Writing on X, one viewer questioned: “I swear [they] were higher on the leaderboard? Was there a mistake or something?” Another supporter wondered whether an error during the dance-off resulted in the person’s exit, reports the Mirror.
One response stated: “If this is true it’s about time.”
A different fan protested: “No, no way,” whilst another remarked: “Thought the judges would have saved them.”
An additional comment noted: “Such a shame.”
Several fans endorsed the decision, with one posting: “The correct result,” as another declared: “Absolutely the correct decision.”
One more contributor added: “No surprise there really!”
This comes as an extraordinary mash-up has been unveiled starring dance troupe Diversity.
A total of 14 Diversity members, including their most recognisable stars Perri Kiely and siblings Ashley and Jordan Banjo, will make their inaugural appearance on the BBC ballroom programme on November 16 during the results show.
The routine will witness the male hip hop ensemble performing to Raye’s Where Is My Husband? accompanied by five female professional dancers: Luba Mushtuk, Nadiya Bychkova, Michelle Tsiakkis, Nancy Xu and Jowita Przystał.
A Strictly source revealed: “Fans can expect a spectacular group number choreographed by Jason Gilkinson and Ashley Banjo. Set in LA, it’s a dance extravaganza that sees old school Hollywood collide with hip hop, as the five Strictly pros and Diversity celebrate some of the most iconic screen sirens from the Golden Age of cinema – including Marilyn Monroe.
“The pros will basically be asking Diversity exactly what the song title suggests.”
The results programme featuring the collaboration will also showcase a separate performance from pop sensation Olly Murs and marks the final show before Strictly’s yearly Blackpool Special, broadcasting on Saturday November 22.
