Robbie Williams says he is ‘going blind’ because of fat jabs — but won’t stop using them

Former Take That star Robbie admitted he was starting to lose his sight as a result of taking weight loss jabs, but said he would not be stopping until it took one of his eyes

Robbie Williams claims he is going blind as a result of weight loss jabs. The singer admitted that things are “getting worse” with his sight, but insisted he was not going to stop any time soon.

The Rock DJ star, 51, said he is certain that weight loss jabs such as Mounjaro are slowly claiming his ability to see. It came after he was prescribed the drug in order to deal with his rapid weight gain and help him maintain his normal figure.

Now, the star has confessed that whilst singing to thousands of people, he is struggling to make out faces in the crowd.

His comments come after scientific research detected a link between one of the ingredients of the jab and an eye condition that eventually causes blindness. Speaking to the Sun, Robbie said: “I want to warn people reading this of the potential risks, to make sure they do their research.

“I was quite an early adapter of the jabs but what I’m also noticing is that my eyesight’s not very good.” He admitted that as time has gone on, his eyesight is slowly getting worse, and while it may be put down to age, he is pinning the blame squarely on the jabs.

He added that the condition is affecting him even in his day to day life. “I went to an American football game the other night and the players were just blobs on a green field in front of me,” he fumed.

“And I was like, ‘What the f*** is happening?’ And on my most recent tour, there’s this thing I do where I sing She’s The One to a girl every night,” he continued.

“Basically, I was looking in the direction of these women looking up at me, having this experience that’s quite obviously incredible to them, and little do they know I can’t see them.” The former Take That star admitted that he had been to the optician in order to take a look at his eyes, but did not explain he was taking weight loss jabs as he had not made the connection between the two at that point.

Now, he has changed his entire dosage, and is wearing a new set of glasses to see properly. He said that he has heard other testimonies from people who have complained of worse eyesight after taking up the drug, and noted people need to be more aware of the risks they may take on by administering the jab to themselves.

But despite this, Robbie admitted there would be no way he would be ending his prescription anytime soon. “I’m that sick I’d probably stay on it until the sight in one eye has completely gone,” he confessed.

His dark humour is also playing into his blurry vision, as he continues to keep his charm even whilst chatting with fans. A recent study found that patients that had been prescribed fat jabs for Type 2 diabetes were more likely to be diagnosed with non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy.

The condition gradually restricts the blood flow provided to the optic nerve and could eventually lead to going blind. The study was carried out in the US, but in the UK, a medicinal regulation watchdog says it has received just under 300 reports of eye disorders believed to be connected with Mounjaro.

Developers Lilly said they are continuing discussions with regulators to improve its safety.
