Coronation Street newcomer Ollie could be hiding a dark secret from the residents of Weatherfield

Coronation Street fans believe they’ve exposed newcomer Ollie’s true identity, and it’s bad news for Lisa Swain.

Viewers of the ITV soap will know that Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike) recently arrived in Weatherfield as Adam Barlow’s (Sam Robertson) new client, who was involved in a dangerous driving case.

Adam soon handed the case over to Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown), who has since shared a passionate kiss with Ollie.

While little is known about Ollie’s background, fans have recently become suspicious of him after he acted strangely earlier this week.

On Wednesday (September 3), police officer Lisa (Vicky Myers) and her partner, Carla Connor (Alison King), got engaged, with several of the locals heading to the Rovers to celebrate.

Ollie and Dee-Dee later arrived for a quiet drink, with Ollie taking an unusual interest in Lisa.

“Feels like we’ve crashed somebody else’s party,” he said, before Dee-Dee explained who Carla and Lisa were.

“[Lisa’s] the local copper, well detective actually. Very high up, not to be messed with,” she added, before Ollie remarked: “Better watch my step then.”

Now, several Corrie fans are convinced that Ollie could be related to Lisa’s boss DI Costello (Daon Broni), who has also been acting suspiciously in recent weeks.

Lisa has notably been trying to uncover the truth behind her ex-wife Becky’s death, though Costello has repeatedly urged her not to.

He also caught Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) searching Tia Wardley’s name after Logan Radcliffe (Harry Lowbridge) gave Carla a dead-end lead. In an ominous phone call, the police boss later confirmed that he’d “deal” with Lisa soon.

On Friday (September 5), Costello spoke to Lisa about her plans for the evening, leaving Kit suspicious.

While having dinner at the Bistro, Carla and Lisa were later interrupted by a young woman who introduced herself as Tia Wardley (Haylie Jones).

She explained that she used to hang out with Logan and Matty Radcliffe (Séamus McGoff), before Becky helped her turn her life around.

However, it was later revealed that the woman had been hired by Costello to lie about being Tia.

After watching the scenes, several Corrie viewers have shared their theories that Costello and Ollie could be working together to bring Lisa down.

“I think Ollie’s either related or connected to Costello. Both are inquisitive to people and have lately been making sus comments. Who’s to say that it’s not a big corruption involving Costello, Ollie, the Radcliffes and Becky, along with the infamous Tia Wardley,” one person wrote on Reddit.

Another added: “Yes I totally think Ollie is Costello’s son,” while a third said: “Love it, you’re defo on to something.”

A fourth fan echoed the sentiment, saying: “Yes what if Ollie’s the one that killed Becky and Costello’s been covering for him because he is his father.”

Meanwhile, other fans believe that Ollie could be related to Logan Radcliffe, and might try to break him out of prison.
