OPINION: Tiger Milk is fast becoming one of London’s hottest dining spots, combining bold Latin American and Mexican-inspired flavours, stunning décor and top-tier service
Tiger Milk has officially muscled its way onto my list of London restaurants you have to visit, the kind of place you walk into, take one look around and instantly know you’re in for a cracking night.
Split across two buzzing floors, both utterly packed during my visit, the restaurant radiates the sort of energy that makes it perfect for a date night, a birthday celebration or a full-blown girls’ night out in the heart of the city.
The décor hits you first with warm lighting, a mirrored ceiling bouncing colour across the room, and a multi-coloured bottle display behind the bar that’s practically art. The space is lively without being overwhelming, thanks to ambient Latin music that sets the mood without drowning conversation. It feels fun, stylish and effortlessly cool.
But what really elevates Tiger Milk is the staff. Every single person we spoke to was friendly and genuinely upbeat, but special shout-out to Yaren, who took the time to recommend dishes, guide us through the menu and make sure our table was well looked after.
Her biggest win of the night? Steering us towards the Lamb al Brasero sharer, and I can confirm it was the undisputed star of the show. Melt-in-the-mouth, beautifully seasoned and generous enough for a proper communal feast, it’s the dish I’ll be thinking about for weeks.
The Cabo San tacos were another knockout, with a fresh, zingy kick that kept us going back for more. Every plate that arrived felt crafted, not rushed and the sort of food that makes you slow down and savour it. Naturally, we couldn’t resist dessert, and the dulce de leche cheesecake was demolished in minutes: creamy, indulgent and exactly the sweet finish the meal deserved.
We paired our dishes with a bottle of Valdiviesco Sauvignon Blanc, crisp and perfectly matched to the flavours on the table. For central London, the prices were surprisingly reasonable, almost shockingly so for the quality. It felt like we were getting a high-end experience without the high-end price tag.
I brought two friends with me, and all three of us left with full bellies, massive smiles and a unanimous decision: we’re coming back, and next time we’re bringing a bigger crowd. Tiger Milk isn’t just a good night out… It’s a new London hotspot worth shouting about.
