EastEnders has aired the exit of two much-loved cast members, but fans were left disappointed over one detail.
EastEnders has bid farewell to two beloved Walford residents, Freddie Slater and Anna Knight, portrayed by Bobby Brazier and Molly Rainford, respectively. However, a certain detail has left some fans feeling disgruntled.
The pair made their departure from Albert Square in the episode aired on Tuesday (December 2). Freddie, who joined the Slater clan in 2022 as Little Mo’s (Kacey Ainsworth) son, initially thought Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) was his biological father.
During his stint in Walford, Freddie grappled with the revelation that his real father, Graham Foster (Alex McSweeney), had raped his mother, leading to his conception.
He also dealt with an ADHD diagnosis, rescued his second cousin, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), from her stalker, Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis), and found himself caught up in a love triangle involving his best friend, Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell), and Anna Knight (Molly Rainford).

In a romantic twist, spurred on by Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan), Freddie and Anna decided to rekindle their relationship and leave Walford to globe-trot together, with Australia being their first stop.
Anna, who arrived in Walford in June 2023 as Cindy Beale’s (Michelle Collins) long-lost daughter, also said her goodbyes. As they bid farewell to their loved ones, who gathered on the street to wave them off, the couple headed towards the Tube Station, reports OK!.
However, EastEnders fans were left gutted that Little Mo didn’t make a comeback to bid farewell to her son Freddie before he embarked on his backpacking journey.
Taking to X, one viewer penned: “3 years of Freddie and no Little Mo appearance #EastEnders.”
Another declared: “Three years of Freddie and they couldn’t get Little Mo back for one scene at the end #EastEnders.”
A third added: “The fact that Freddie Slater was on #EastEnders for 3 years and never once did we get an appearance from his mother Little Mo. Such a wasted opportunity!”
Someone else responded: “This still shocks me – I thought Kacey Ainsworth would have been up for a one-off appearance at least.”
Little Mo is one of the original Slater sisters alongside current Queen Vic landlady Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), who is her sibling.
She made her debut in 2000 but departed in 2006 following her husband Billy Mitchell’s (Perry Fenwick) confession that he couldn’t bear to raise Freddie after learning he wasn’t his biological child.
Actress Kacey Ainsworth, who portrayed Little Mo, chose to leave her role to pursue other acting ventures.
She has since appeared in The Bill, A Touch of Frost, Casualty, Grantchester, and various other television programmes.
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One and iPlayer
