Sara Aldrete was a ‘friendly and courteous’ cheerleader during the day but hid a gruesome secret, as the leader of a bloodthirsty serial-killing satanic cult
To those who knew her, there was nothing particularly unusual about Sara Aldrete.
She had long brown hair, played football and was a cheerleader.
Friends described her as friendly, courteous and eager to please, towering over people at 6ft 1ins.
But Aldrete, who attended Texas Southmost College, lived a devastating double life as bloodthirsty leader of a satanic cult.
A teacher who worked at the college, Antonio Zavaleta, said: “She sat in my anthropology class all semester, an A student, always present, always friendly.
“I never saw her wear an emblem, an amulet, a talisman, any sign of black magic — and I’m trained to watch for such things; never heard her ask a weird question, even when we talked about weird religions.”
Yet at night she would lock herself in her bedroom and pray to Satan on a blood-splattered floor, reports Toronto Sun.
Together with Adolfo Constanzo, a fortune-teller turned cult leader, they ran The Narcosatanists.
They targeted drug dealers and told sick followers that human sacrifice made them immune from law enforcement, who would target them over their own drug dealing.
At a warehouse in Matamoros, they tortured and murdered victims, dismembered their bodies and cooked body parts in a large pot.
The victims included rival cartel members as well as strangers and, in 1989, US college student Mark Kilroy.
According to the report, Aldrete even selected a victim to be butchered before luring the victim to their death.
And after that, she sliced off the victim’s nipples before boiling him to his death.
Eventually, after the discovery of body parts, detectives raided their hideout in Mexico City where Constanzo was shot dead.
Aldrete was captured and sentenced to 45 years in prison.
According to the report, US officials are keen for her to be executed should she be released and extradited.
