Thomas Skinner, who is on Strictly Come Dancing this year, had an affair weeks after his wedding to Sinead – and the revelation has caused a seismic reaction
Thomas Skinner has finally spoken out about how his cheating controversy rocked his marriage.
The divisive reality TV personality, who wed Sinead in May 2022, strayed just weeks following their nuptials. Amy-Lucy, 35, claimed the liaison went on for three months, whilst Thomas characterised it as a fleeting “two-week thing”.
The businessman said they met in a pub and “had a fling”, insisting: “It was nothing more than that. It was the one time, it was a mistake.”
He previously confessed to the fling being a “moment of madness” that almost “destroyed his life” but he has now spoken out in more detail about how it affected his marriage. Sinead, the mother to his three young children, has been hit hard by the reaction to the cheating controversy.

Speaking last night, Thomas, 34, said: “It wasn’t difficult for me because I know the mistakes I’ve made in my life, but it was awful for my poor wife to read it all, and that’s why I feel bad… My whole life has been dug up and regurgitated and my poor wife has to read something that she has moved on from..”
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Thomas added: “It took a long, long time for her to forgive me and we have worked at it. I will never say I’m perfect but it was hard seeing my wife relive all of this. But she said that it wouldn’t break us, it wouldn’t ruin us. She told me that she loves me to pieces and I love her.”
He added: “My wife is my rock and I love her to absolute pieces. I made a mistake. I’ll hold my hands up and we have moved on from that. We moved on from that as a partnership… We have built a better life. Sinead is my best mate. Now she is so invested in my Strictly journey, she is cracking up that I am doing this.”
Thomas and Sinead, parents to five year old Henry and twin girls Roma and Darla, aged 2, first crossed paths in London in 2018. The ‘Apprentice’ star popped the question in July 2020, just three months after the pair announced they were expecting their first child.
Thomas will be on our TV screens tonight as he takes part in the first live show of Strictly 2025, with judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke.
Whilst they may not have to face the public vote this week, they do have to face the judges, who will be handing out the first scores of the series.
