North Babylon snapped Ward Melville’s Long Island girls soccer public school record of 64 straight games without a loss, according to Newsday records. Ward Melville, winner of three straight state titles, last lost on October 30, 2021.
Alexa Furman made five saves for North Babylon (2-0). Giavanna Parente made seven saves for Ward Melville (1-1).
Longwood 2, Patchogue-Medford 1: Brooke Pfieffer scored two goals, including the double-overtime winner, to lead Longwood (2-0) in Suffolk I. Makenzi Hansen made 13 saves. Marie Cataldo made 12 saves for Patchogue-Medford (1-2).
Floyd 1, Bay Shore 0: Natalie Samlihan scored the only goal and Ava Tiedemann made seven saves to lead Floyd (2-1) in Suffolk I. Erin Wolfe made six saves for Bay Shore (1-2).
Mepham 3, Manhasset 2: Kaitlyn Tansey scored the winning goal in the second half as Mepham overcame a 2-0 deficit in Nassau II. Lia DiPreta made 15 saves for Mepham (2-0). Riley Alsheimer and Gabby Osorio each scored a goal for Manhasset (0-4).
Wantagh 1, Plainedge 0: Kayla Mannix scored off an assist from Shannon Udell in the 47th minute to lead Wantagh (2-1) in Nassau A/B-I. Jacqueline Hudson made eight saves. Cayla Bloom made seven saves for Plainedge (3-1).
Clarke 3, Hicksville 1: Alexa Naia had a goal and an assist and Roxanna David made four saves to lead Clarke (1-0-1) in Nassau IV. Kalliopi Vangelatos scored a goal and Izabelle Gonzales made seven saves for Hicksville (0-4).
Locust Valley 4, Valley Stream North 1: Riley Eisenberg and Maddie Farren each had two goals and one assist to lead Locust Valley (2-1) in Nassau A/B-III. Katie O’Brien made five saves. Paige Fessler scored and Julia Juzzi made eight saves for Valley Stream North (1-2).

Comsewogue/Miller Place 8, Rocky Point 1: Erik Flannery shot a 1-under 35 at SpyRing Golf Club to lead Comsewogue/Miller Place (3-0) in Suffolk VI.
BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Deer Park 27, Huntington 29: In the 2.5- mile run, Ali Zorakhsh placed second in 15 minutes, 12 seconds to lead Deer Park in a Suffolk IV opener. Thomas Wesnofske followed him in third place in 15:36, and Stephen Laspina took fifth place in 16:28 to secure the win. For Huntington, Eric Heinz won the individual race in 14:11 and Greyson Henderson placed fourth in 16:21.
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
Glenn 24, Mount Sinai 31: In the 2.5- mile run, Camryn Szokoli and Sloane Hinke each finished in 16 minutes, 20 seconds to lead Glenn in a Suffolk VII opener. Ava Hopkins followed them in fourth place with a 17:08 and Katelynn Fratarcangeli took fifth in 17:52. For Mount Sinai, Cali Gabrielson won the individual race in 15:14 and her sister, Capri Gabrielson, finished sixth (18:02).
