Strictly Come Dancing spin-off It Takes Two was delayed on Friday and fans were not impressed
Strictly Come Dancing fans were left fuming as the beloved spin-off It Takes Two suffered an unexpected schedule shake-up
The BBC’s popular chat programme typically kicks off at 6:30 p.m. on BBC Two, yet loyal fans tuning in were gobsmacked to discover it had been pushed aside for World Cup proceedings.
Friday’s (December 5) instalment of It Takes Two eventually surfaced at 7:15 pm instead, and while Janette made her anticipated comeback to present the programme, she curiously avoided any mention of the disruption.
Viewers immediately flocked to social media to share their frustrations, with one posting on X: “It takes two being delayed to 7pm due to the football World Cup draw, not happy my evening is scheduled around it takes two #ittakestwo.”
Another expressed their exasperation: “Looks like it’ll be delayed even further now. Feel like just watching it later on iPlayer at this rate. #ItTakesTwo #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing,” reports Wales Online.
A third questioned: “That FA draw was the longest programme in the world! Where is #ItTakesTwo?” Another viewer raged: “2+ hours to pull some ping pong balls out of a goldfish bowl. Of course, we can reschedule the whole evening because it’s football #ittakestwo.”
Meanwhile, one particularly irate fan declared: “Oi @BBCTwo, where’s @bbcstrictly #ittakestwo? ? Get this World Cup draw on iPlayer or bbcthree NOT IMPRESSED! !”.
It comes as Strictly fans couldn’t contain their emotions as two professional dancers made a surprise return to the show after a 13-year absence.
During Wednesday’s episode (December 3), former professional dancers Vincent Simone and Flavia Cacace graced the show for a special segment, delving into the intricacies of Argentine Tango.
The Latin and Ballroom dance pair first joined the BBC sensation in 2006, having previously captivated audiences and producers with their mesmerising Argentine Tango performance.
They subsequently became an integral part of the show before making the difficult decision to depart in 2012.
At that time, Vincent confessed, “I haven’t seen Flavia in a while, and I would love to see her again. It’s always nice to catch up and think about the beautiful memories we have.”
In a touching moment, the duo shared a hug and then sat down to reminisce over some of their most memorable moments throughout the years.
This poignant reunion didn’t escape the notice of viewers, who promptly took to social media to express their reactions. One fan penned on X: “How lovely to see Vincent and Flavia again. Beautiful dancers. #ItTakesTwo #Strictly.
Another remarked, “Vincent and Flavia have not aged! #ItTakesTwo.” A third chimed in: “So happy to see Vincent and Flavia back together again #ItTakesTwo.”
Strictly It Takes Two airs weekdays from 6:30pm on BBC Two and iPlayer.
